First Line Fridays: Falling for Your Fake Fiance by Emma St. Clair

Happy Friday!

First Line Fridays is hosted by Hoarding Books and participants share the first line from a nearby book.

Today, I'm sharing the first line from Falling for Your Fake Fiancé by Emma St. Claire.

"'Go over it again,'  I demand, leaning my elbows on my massive mahogany desk."

Have you read Falling for Your Fake Fiancé by Emma St. Claire? This book just arrived a few days ago, so it's sitting on my tbr shelf, patiently waiting for it's turn... 🙃

What are you reading this weekend? I'd love for you to share your book's first line!

Happy reading!

About the Book:

What happens when the man I love to hate becomes the man I must pretend to love?

I can’t seem to escape Thayden Walker and his infuriating charm.

Even his mother and his Great Dane seem bent on playing matchmaker.

But I’m totally immune.

Until I'm presented with an offer that puts my ability to withstand him to the test.

If I marry Thayden, all my student debt goes poof, and he'll take over the family firm.

There’s so much more at stake than money or a job, especially when I start to see the man beneath the mask.

Playing house with Thayden is the most dangerous game of all.

And we’re both set up to lose more than we could ever win.

Unless we’ve been on the same side all along ...

I'm sharing the first line from The Menu by Steven Manchester: https://christianfictiongirl.blog/2021/04/16/first-line-friday-180/. I'm currently on chapter 3, so I'll share a line from there: "With his suspicions peaked, Phinn followed her one night to a high-rise condo where John -- her "friend from work" -- lived."
Hope you have a great weekend! Happy reading. 🙂❤📚

  4. This sounds interesting! Marriage of convenience is one of my favorite tropes :)

I shared the first line from Blackberry Beach on my blog! I just finished To Save a King by Rachel Hauck, so I’ll share the first line here: “Once Upon A Time… Prince John believed in fairy tales.” Have a great weekend!

  5. My first line is from All That Really Matters by Nicole Deese:
I used to marvel at the way my Great Mimi’s arthritic fingers would pinch her eyeliner pencil and trace a perfect stroke of midnight black along her upper lash line.
    Happy reading!
