2019 Reading Goals

2019...  A new year.

Time to start a brand new reading challenge! I always do the Goodreads Reading Challenge and for several years now, I've actually made my goals. Last year, I wanted to read 40 books and to my surprise, I far surpassed my goal.

This year, I'm aiming a little higher: 65 books.

This is totally doable. If I read one a week, that would bring me up to 52 books. Now add in a few devotionals or children's books and I should be able to reach 65. Not easy, but doable... and so rewarding!

I'm also considering the Hope By the Book Reading Challenge.  Lately, I've seen so many reading challenges pop up, but I don't want to be dominated by feeling like I have to complete all these different challenges and I'm thinking I just might do this one.

Here's a peek:

November 2018 In Review - Final Day of #TFBRC

Today is the last day of The Thankful for Books Reading Challenge, hosted by I Am A Reader & Clean Wholesome Romance. We've come to the end of this challenge and the final topic is: Month In Review.

Back at the beginning of the month, I posted that I planned to read five books this month. I completed:

1. Send Down the Rain by Charles Martin.

2. Wait For Me by Susan May Warren. Read my review here.

3. All Made Up by Kara Isaac. Read my review here.

Sadly, The Lady of Tarpon Springs by Judith Miller is still sitting on the TBR stack. This was my local book club's pick for October and I still have not read it. Eek!  However, I did read The Liberty Bride by Marylu Tyndall and loved it. Review should be forthcoming very soon.

Lastly is Warfare by Tony Evans. This one is in progress and I'm nearing the end.

So, that's it. That's what November 2018 looked like in books for me. What about you? Did you find time to read? Let's chat in the comments!

November Reading Goals - Day 1 of #TFBRC

Happy November!

The Thankful for Books Reading Challenge, hosted by I Am A Reader & Clean Wholesome Romance, commences today and we are discussing: READING GOALS!

I have a goal of reading five books this month:

1. Send Down the Rain by Charles Martin - This is my local book club's pick for November.

2. Wait for Me by Susan May Warren - The last of the fabulous Montana Rescue series. I've been waiting for Jess and Pete's story!!!

3. All Made Up by Kara Isaac - I've heard such good things about this one!

4. The Lady of Tarpon Springs - This was actually the October pick for my local book club, but I never got around to reading it. Oops!

5. Warfare by Tony Evans - I've listened to Tony Evans / The Urban Alternative for a long time, but this is my first book by him.
